Position Summary:

The Flight Operations Coop will be assisting Flight Operations in various projects including analysis of fuel burn, maintenance of reports, quality assurance audits and representation in various teams.

II. Essential Functions:

Á• Analyzes current airline metrics and performance numbers and identifies opportunities to improve either planning or performance function (30%)
Á• Collects fuel planning and performance information and maintains data warehouse for the data (30%)
Á• Assists in data gathering for Flight Operations quality assurance functions including procedural review and records reviews (20%)
Á• Prepares monthly tracking reports for information collected (20%)

III. Interactions:

Supervision Received:

Á• Receives clear, detailed, and specific instructions and consults with Crewleader on all matters outside the scope of daily responsibilities/activities

Supervisory Duties:

Á• No supervisory responsibility


Experience:
Á• Enrolled in a Council of Aviation Accreditation accredited College/University and be in good standing and working towards a degree in Aviation Science, Management, Safety or related major
Á• Previous flying experience (Private Pilots License Required, Instrument written test completion preferred)
Á• Regular attendance and punctuality
Á• Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
Á• Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
Á• Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Á• Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Á• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

V. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Á• Strong Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Access knowledge
Á• Computer programming experience with a minimum ability to write and interpret Basic Language code preferred but not required
Á• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Á• Strong written and verbal communications skills
Á• Strong organizational and planning skills
Á• Ability to maintain fluid timelines
Á• Ability to work independently
Á• Excellent typing skills

Á• Computer and other office equipment

Work Environment:

Á• Normal Office
Á• Domestic and international travel is required for training, conferences and other company activities.
Á• Work is normally conducted during regular business hours.

Physical Effort:

Á• Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)
