I. Position Summary:
The Analyst will coordinate the Airports Department environmental, health and safety programs, as well as monitor processes for adherence to all federal, state and local guidelines in the areas of health, safety and environmental. The Analyst will also plan, implement, and coordinate all activities that promote and maintain excellence in Safety and Environmental performance.
II. Essential Functions:
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of all environmental, health and safety standards affecting Airports property and personnel
- Identifies and appraises conditions which could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluate potential extents of injuries resulting from accidents
- Develops accident prevention and loss control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries and reduce financial losses
- Provides Airports Leadership with advice on and solutions to problems affecting the health and safety of Airports Crewmembers and property
- Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data related to the facilityÁ’s occupational illnesses and accidents and prepares reports for management
- Conducts and coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws, and practices
- Recommends new and improved equipment this affects environmental controls and safety of Crewmembers.
- Develops Crewmember-related safety programs and to train Crewmembers in safety and accident prevention.
- Performs in-house audit of facilities and recommends action for correcting environmental, health and safety deficiencies
- Completes and submits all mandated reports to the appropriate governmental agencies
- Acts as Department spokesperson with governmental agencies for all audits and investigations concerning environmental, health and safety programs
- Assists Airports Leadership in resolving any citations issued by local, state and federal inspectors
- Reviews and analyzes accident reports to make recommendations on how to prevent similar accidents in the future.
- Coordinates the Worker's Compensation Program including the light duty program and attending Worker's Compensation Hearings as appropriate
- Leads the Airports Safety Committee meetings and efforts
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
III. Interactions:
Supervision Received:
- Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Crewleader. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific instructions from Crewleader for new, difficult, or special projects/assignments

Experience:
IV. Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Management preferred but not required or equivalent experience in the Safety field
- One (1) to three (3) years analytical experience
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
- Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
- Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
V. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of environmental, health and safety practices, principles, applicable regulations and workers compensation laws.
- Must be able to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to make group presentations.
- Must be focused and attentive, attentive to details and able to function with interruptions and deadlines.

- Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to interface well with Crewmembers at all levels of the Company to include the most senior level of JetBlue leadership as well as interface with the leadership of external business partners and regulatory agencies
- Ability to work well with other departments and assist them if able in keeping on track with tasks
- Ability to acquire and present information through independent reading, interviews with subject-matter specialists, or other appropriate methods
