Description:
Proven Project Analysts and Project Controllers are always needed in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. As a Project Analyst / Project Controller, you will be an expert in project management methodologies processes and tools with excellent coordination, planning, organization and facilitation skills. You will be experienced in MS Project, Excel, Visio, Adobe and Sametime.
Responsibilities:
- Work with key program team members, key stakeholders and program manager in planning and developing program/project work plans, budgets, implementation plans and contingency plans. Publish and maintain up-to-date plans for use by management and team members in direction setting, decision-making and general status updates.
- Work with team leads and sub-teams, including internal employees and external contractors, to manage and resolve issues and change control items, ensuring the sub-team's are proceeding according to plan and in a coordinated manner with the entire project. This includes performing specific documentation and tracking activities.
- Work with key project team leads, members, key stakeholders and program manager in coordinating the on-boarding and rolling off of project resources.
- Provide timely and accurate communication with the program manager, team leaders, team members and key stakeholders to ensure understanding of project status and direction. Communications include formal program/project reporting, roll-ups of program/project work plans, budget tracking and forecasts, status meetings as well as informal relationship building with key stakeholders.
- Work with key project team members, key stakeholders and program manager in coordinating and directing the completion of document deliverables for appropriate approval gate(s) and processes.
- Provide expertise in project management tools (e.g. MS Project), exploiting the features of scheduling, resource planning and reporting. Analyze reports and provide variance information and recommendations to the program manager to keep the program/project on track (schedule and budget).
- Provide expertise in project processes, specifically the project lifecycle, system development lifecycle, and prioritization and approval processes. Work with program management on completing all the necessary forms and templates required of these processes.
- Coordinate and create necessary Statements of Work (SOWs) Purchase Orders and Work Orders with Vendor Management Services for external resources and services required by the program.
- Assist with planning and organizing meetings for project teams and sub-teams.
- Act as a back-up sub-team lead when necessary.
- Perform general administrative tasks to include meeting scheduling and logistic coordination, minute documentation for communication, validating invoices and maintaining and delivering updated project portfolio's to key stakeholders.
- Through effective role modeling, demonstrate expected corporate and divisional behaviors. The senior coordinator will provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to project team members.

Experience:
Required Skills/Experience:
-Expertise in project management methodologies (processes) and tools.
- College degree in business, mathematics, computer science or a related field, or equivalent business experience.
- Ability to utilize end-user tools of intermediate complexity, with specific proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel.
- 2-3 years experience or equivalent in practicing business support functions with effective organizational and coordinating skills (e.g. department admin support).
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer service, decision-making, conflict management, teamwork and coaching capabilities.
