Description:
Position Summary:

The Specialist maintains the warehouse stock and works with the Maintenance Department at the station to ensure the adequate supply of materiels for aircraft maintenance.

Essential Functions:

* Performs data entry into the computer inventory system to include locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping of materiels
* Loads aircraft tires, brakes, and related aircraft parts and materiels
* Performs inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations of materiels based on direction from leadership
* Monitors and updates stock items, minimum and maximum stock levels, and coordinates stock level adjustments with Maintenance, Purchasing, and/or other departments within the Company

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of inventory management and computer inventory management systems/bar coding
* Ability to ship, receive, and track parts using DHL and FEDEX shipping software
* Strong typing skills
* Flexibility and agility skills
* Excellent verbal (telephone) communication skills
* Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:

Equipment:

* Computer and other office equipment
* Inventory Control System, i.e. DASH, etc.
* All types of Ground Support Equipment: trucks, tugs, box truck, forklifts, (all types up to 35K)
* Packing machine equipment
* Small and large weighing scales
* Parts storage system equipment
* Other equipment when needed in support of logistics and aircraft support

Work Environment:

* Work may be outdoors with seasonal weather
* Able to work all shifts (i.e.: midnight, days, weekends, and holidays)
* Travel may be required

Physical Effort:

* Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. (Heavy)

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
* Some college preferred but not required
* Warehousing background preferred but not required
* Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue AirwaysÁ’ insurance standards
* Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
* Able to drive tugs, trucks, forklifts (4k and 18K) and other vehicles
* Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
* Successfully pass the Materiels and the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training courses
* Pass an International Air Transport Association (IATA) or Department of Transportation (DOT) approved Hazardous Materiel Training Course and maintain recurrent training of the course in order to complete job functions
* Regular attendance and punctuality

* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
