Position Summary:
The Manager serves as the primary point of contact and responsibility within JetBlue for all security related regulatory matters promulgated and enforced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Manager provides internal guidance to all JetBlue departments regarding security compliance issues and externally functions as the CompanyÁ’s chief interlocutor with the TSA and FAA on compliance matters.
Essential Functions:
Ensures corporate compliance with all government security regulations by creating and implementing effective and efficient compliance processes to address the increasing volume of government inquiries in a compliance driven industry
Creates a single Company reference point to ensure complete and uniform adherence to requirements as outlined in the Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) including oversight of the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) program
Continually monitors the TSA web board and all Principle Security Inspector (PSI) communications on a daily basis to identify new regulatory requirements
Closely coordinates with the Technical Operations manual team and JetBlue University on all security related compliance issues
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:.
Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and command of the English language
Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and organizational abilities required
Ability to read and comprehend volumes of aviation security laws and regulations

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma, BachelorÁ’s Degree preferred but not required
Minimum of three (3) years successful performance in aviation security or aviation compliance areas
Experience in reviewing and applying codified government regulations to corporate components
Regular attendance and punctuality

Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
