I. Position Summary:

The Provisioning Flex Crew works due to operational needs, on flexible bases. Provisioning Flex Crew works in the warehouse and builds carts for provisioning items, helps prepare aircraft cabin for departure, and complies with any ad-hoc requests as needed.

Individuals who are only hired to work during high peak times (holidays, summer, etc.) will only be able to work a maximum of five (5) months depending upon the statused location, and may require flexibility of schedule as the position could require working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Individuals who are hired on a flexible basis would be required to work an entire shift on specified days and may require flexibility as the position could require working mornings, evenings, and holidays (if applicable).

II. Essential Functions:

- Fork-lift driving in warehouse area
- Load and unload palettes onto and off loading dock
- Stock provisioning carts
- Conduct liquor and other supply inventories
- Help prepare aircraft cabin for departure, which can include light cleaning of seats, seat-pockets, and floor
- Other duties as assigned

III. Interactions:

Supervision Received:

- Receives clear, detailed, and specific instructions and consults with Crewleader on all matters outside the scope of daily responsibilities/activities

Supervisory Duties:

- No supervisory responsibility


Experience:
IV. Minimum Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- One (1) year customer service or sales experience preferred but not required
- Previous airline experience preferred but not required
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required
- Able to travel and/or work variable hours
- Able to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends if applicable
- At least eighteen (18) years old
- Able to lift at least seventy-five (75) to one hundred (100) pounds
- Possess and maintain a valid DriverÁ’s License and a driving record that meets the carrierÁ’s insurance standards
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
- Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
- Pass a ten (10) year background check including a check of all Motor Vehicle Records, and pre-employment drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

V. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Computer literate
- Ability to follow safety guidelines
- Able to perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints

VI. Working Conditions:

Equipment

- Computer and other office equipment
- Ground service equipment (vehicles)
- Handheld radios

Work Environment:

- Warehouse environment.
- Airport Ramp environment; the outdoor environment will present weather variations and elevated noise levels
- Variable work hours
- Able to make occasional trips to other locations for training or temporary assignment

Physical Effort:

- Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving lifting and carting of very heavy objects which will often weigh at least 75 pounds and may on occasion weigh in excess of 100 pounds. (Very Heavy)
