****This position designs information architecture and user interfaces for web-based applications and websites****
. Gathers, distills and documents business requirements, develops use cases, architects information, designs workflows and screens for internal and market-facing web-enabled applications
. Develops overall user experience strategy for projects
. Leads visual design efforts across the portfolio of projects
. Develops low and high-fidelity prototypes to test with users and business groups
. Builds and maintains relationships with key groups in the company to ensure quality product delivery, including project managers, business teams, subject matter experts, application and technical architects, other development groups, and end-users, both internal and external
. Acts as liaison between technical and business groups to ensure a common understanding of business and technical requirements
. Establishes a library of reusable, scalable user-interface elements, concepts, interaction controls and other objects to ensure consistency
. Possesses and maintains technical proficiency in the following key technical areas: XML, XSL, XSD, CSS, HTML, Visio, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Microsoft Office
. Acts as a proponent of user centered design to increase the awareness across key groups.
. Maintains the visual design guidelines for web-based applications, evolving the guidelines to adapt to new requirements and technologies
. Designs user interfaces for developed applications that adhere to visual design guidelines and usability principles
. Consults with vendors on developing user interfaces that meet usability standards and visual design guidelines
. Leads design forums with client and market participants to evaluate the user experience for all new and enhanced web applications
. Serves as a core member of client's web strategy team
. Designs the information architecture for web applications and websites, ensuring scalability for future growth or changes
. Oversees the nodal website, evolving the site to meet changing needs

. 10+ years proven, experience in the usability field

. Electric utility experience a plus
