Description:
The Manager Affiliate and Search Marketing is responsible for online media buying, trafficking, and reporting. The job role is primarily one of customer acquisition, direct response advertising, and analytics. One marketing analyst (web analytics) and two marketing coordinators (online marketing) will report to this Manager.

The Manager Affiliate and Search Marketing will report into the Director, Interactive Marketing, and will work closely with the General Manager of and the Manager of Web Content & Project Management.
Essential Functions:

Oversees the Search Marketing Program
Manages relationship with publishers (i.e. Google, Yahoo, and MSN).
Researches and makes recommendations on marketing key words to be used for search campaign.
Works with internal marketing group on coordination of copy and offers.
Reports on sales and expenses daily.
Coordinates landing page experience with web team to optimize conversion.

Manages Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts as it relates to paid links
Work with third party companies such as in the purchasing of inbound links from content rich authoritative sites to increase our natural search rankings.
Monitor performance at the keyword level.
Develop budgets and provide weekly reporting.

Oversees Web Analytics
Oversee coordinator whose core responsibilities include:
Collects and creates reports of key performance metrics of all web-based marketing programs.
Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for improving the business based on current and historical data.
Works with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning process for by providing key analytics data. Provides data and design recommendations to improve the effectiveness of
Functions as an internal expert and centralized knowledge base to assist team with advertising and development decisions based on strategic, competitive and financial imperatives. Supports Revenue Management, Planning, Marketing and Sales with relevant analytics analyses.
Develops weekly competitive performance reviews for .
Assists Marketing, Revenue Management and Planning teams in the collection of data such as updates to the customer data warehouse.

Oversees the Online Travel Agency (OTA) marketing programs (i.e. Travelocity, Expedia)
Works with Sales team on developing marketing plans for each of the OTAs.
Submits creative briefs for development of banner ads.
Traffics all creative content to publishers.
Sets up all relevant tracking.
Reports on sales and expenses daily.
Coordinates landing page experience with web team to optimize conversion.

Coordinates ad buys with advertising team
Ensures that online creative has consistent communication and is flighted similarly to display advertising conducted by the advertising team via the relationship with Beyond Interactive (JetBlueÁ’s online advertising agency).
Over time may also take on the responsibility of owning the online display advertising
Additional responsibilities
Assist in the development of and management of an Affiliate Marketing program if this is launched as a new initiative in 2008.

Interactions:
Plans and carries out work assignments; resolves most conflicts which arise; coordinates work with others as necessary; interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives. Keeps Crewleader/Teamleader informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.
Supervisory Duties:

Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of two (2) or more Crewmembers/Teammembers; participates in the decision to hire, fire, and promote Crewmembers/Teammembers; does not conduct the same work as Crewmembers/Teammembers on a regular basis.


Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

BachelorÁ’s Degree in Marketing, Management, Computer Science, Management Information System, Mathematics or Statistics
Minimum of Five (5) to Seven (7) years experience in an Interactive Marketing role.
Experience managing direct reports.
Regular attendance and punctuality
Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
